Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend. We’ve done a deep dive on SPAC data for you.

SPACs were all the rage in 2020, but investor confidence has been going downhill ever since, even getting compared to the waning returns on a hasty Vegas marriage. Still, as we approach year-end and many two-year deadlines, SPAC deals are seeing their greatest surge since March 2020. We’ve pulled together the stock performance from the initial offering to current prices on the year’s SPACs from Q1 to the present to see how they’re doing nearly a year later. We’ll let the data speak for itself.

In summation, 45 companies announced a SPAC merger in Q1, 2021. Of those, 42 were completed and only 7 have seen a positive return on investment since.
